The Best Places to Eat Out In Denver, Colorado: MADGreens, City O' City, Voodoo Doughnuts, and More!

As you probably know by now, I've spent the past couple days in Denver, Colorado. It's been a really amazing time and I cannot wait to go back! If any of you are thinking of checking out Denver, this is the place to find my favorite spots to eat out there, whether you're visiting CO or already live there and are looking to spice things up.

Now, being that I am plant-based, a lot of these restaurants I went to while in Denver are primarily vegetarian, or at least serving healthy foods. You never have to give up an awesome time out just because you don't eat meat!

The first place we stopped on our trip to Denver was Voodoo Doughnuts. Everyone there was sooo sweet, and let me just say- the doughnuts were scrumptious! This place isn't entirely vegan, but it really does accommodate most lifestyles, which is amazing. They have tons of unique options, and I would recommend it for sure! Everyone working their was extremely nice and I can say with confidence that they are some of the most artistic and creative people you'll meet. Being that Mary Tyler Moore had recently passed, they were showcasing their memorial of her, and it honestly blew me away. They do things like that quite often, which you can check out on their social media.

The next place to go while in Denver is City O City, for sure. It's gotta be one of the coolest places I've been -ever- and they even feature a new artist each week (which is pretty cool if I do say so myself). I love how everything here was vegetarian, and they had a lot of ingredients I hadn't even heard of in their menu. I ended up trying poutine (those Canadian fries with the gravy on top) and some of their pineapple sticky fried rice- which I'm honestly trying to recreate; I can't believe I never tried that before!

If you're the type that will go for something cold and sweet no matter what time of year, hit up Rush Bowls! I went there this past Sunday and it was unforgettable. They serve all kinds of smoothie bowls with cool toppings like granola, honey, you name it. I honestly wish they had one near me, because I would be all over it. I ordered their Apple Pie Bowl, which has a ton of fruit in it alongside vanilla soy milk.

MAD Greens was definitely one of my favorite places here. They have restaurants all over Colorado and the region itself, and there's no doubt why. They prepare everything right there, and the food is all fresh. They make everything juices, wraps, salads, and a bunch of other yummy items. MAD Greens knows what's up with food, but what's even better than that is that they represent everything I care about; they support local and national charities, donating thousands each year, and they source their food from local suppliers. I look forward to seeing MAD Greens expand, for sure. While I visited I had their Mona Lisa Panini and their Mint Cooler juice. Juices are something I love but I'm often a bit lazy when it comes to preparing them on my own time; theirs was delicious.

Overall, my trip to Colorado was... amazing. Denver is an amazing city and I have to admit that I've fallen in love!
