Shop Small and Support Small Business Saturday on Nov. 26
5:00:00 AM
Small business Saturday is coming up this month, on the 26th of November. Why does this matter?
Small businesses are run by our friends, our family, and our community members. These people work hard for a living and make a huge contribute to the community around them.
We should support the endeavors local entrepreneurs take because it truly is a symbiotic relationship- a win, win, if you will.
Sure, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are practically ingrained in our culture nowadays. What many fail to consider in this is that those purchases are contributing to the top 1%. While deals from huge companies may appear more appealing at a glance, they simply don't make the same impact a sale by a small business owner would. In fact, small business is pretty much the foundation of our economy! Over 99% of US employer firms are comprised of small businesses.
Online megastores can be hard to beat, but there are countless reasons to shop small- even for the holidays. On November 26th, everyone can come together to show support for business owners and the economy itself.
If you're looking for some gifts, you can always check out the products I sell too! I hand-make necklaces and sell them in my shop, where they get shipped for free anywhere in the US and Canada. I have an ebook out there that's completely free for those who have Kindle Unlimited, and for only $3 if you don't. You can find some tees and art prints of mine on my shop too. Look around, and let me know what you think. Do you participate in Small Business Saturday??
