Why You Should Be Using Guided Meditations
2:42:00 AMWhen you begin to meditate consistently,it can be difficult all by oneself. That's why I would always say starting out with a guided meditation is beneficial. Even with a developed and consistent practice in place, we always have times in which we feel lost or too distracted. However, that's not a reason to give up or push off what can be of great benefit to yourself, in a variety of ways. If you put in the time, you will most definitely see the effort and time invested pay off.
The easiest way to have a clear and set intention when investing your time is through guided meditations. All you've gotta do is get comfortable, listen, and follow the directions to go into a meditative state. I always turn to guided meditations when I'm feeling off, or simply don't have the motivation to set aside time for myself (which doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but I don't really take enough time for myself when exceptionally stressed). That's one of the many reasons I choose to use guided meditations.
Now- you're probably wondering, "where can I find these?" I have found several apps to be of great use. My personal favorites are called Meditation (the app itself has a green circle with blue and pink semicircles on it) and Guided Mind (a yellow background with a white leaf). I myself have recorded some guided meditations, and you can find them on my BandCamp here. I really try to make them helpful, so it would mean the world to me if you checked them out. Two other places you can look for guided meditations are SoundCloud and Youtube. The downside to these options are the ads. Additionally, with Youtube, you have to keep whatever device you use on while it plays, which can be distracting (at least in my experience).

ReplyDeleteYes, it definitely is! Thanks for your support!
DeleteA lot of things you do for the first time should be done with guidance. I've never been able to stay focus when it comes to meditation but that might change if I were to try it with a guide.
ReplyDeleteFor sure! Definitely try out those apps :)
DeleteI've only ever done guided meditations. I've really enjoyed them, but hadn't made the connection to seek them out. Thanks for making it easy to find them!
